Trees in Fall

The trees,
older than me,
are changing colours in this Fall,
they were growing before I was born,
I’ve walked by them so many times,
and still they stand there,
silent until the wind stirs their leaves,
getting ready for another Winter’s sleep,
their drying and dying leaves a breath-takingly beautiful canvas,
that the One paints on,
ever changing,
but I wish it could stay like that always,
with yellow leaves against the blue sky,
and hues of red looking so vivid,
I can hardly believe they are real.

The paperback proof of my novella “Deathsun 2012” arrived today and I think it looks great! It’s a glossy cover, so hard to photograph, but here’s a look (click the photos for a larger, better looking version):

I think it came out very well!

My poetry book “A Conspicuous Medium” back in print

This chapbook of my poetry, “A Conspicuous Medium” was first published back in 1997 by a small local press, in a limited print run. Copies soon sold out/were given as gifts, and the book was out of print for many years. Then, I expanded the book and republished it as an Ebook last year. But, the paper edition was still lacking – but no more!

The 2nd edition of my poetry book “A Conspicuous Medium” is now available in a paper edition.

2nd proof of “A Conspicuous Medium”

The 2nd proof for my poetry book “A Conspicuous Medium” arrived yesterday. It looks pretty good. I like the colours and clarity of the text better on this version. I was going to tweak it some more, but it’s fine (could play with it forever) – so, I’m going to approve this and it will be available at Amazon.com. Then, eventually bookstores, and libraries, soon!

cover image update – Deathsun 2012 – novella

Here’s a new version of the cover for the print book of Deathsun 2012 – novella.

The left hand side sun image was flipped, producing a neat mirror effect.

Now, to resubmit it to CreateSpace and see if it passes their standards. This image doesn’t look as good as the Photoshop image, due to the file being compressed. The print cover should look better, as well.
