The 2nd proof for my poetry book “A Conspicuous Medium” arrived yesterday. It looks pretty good. I like the colours and clarity of the text better on this version. I was going to tweak it some more, but it’s fine (could play with it forever) – so, I’m going to approve this and it will be available at Amazon.com. Then, eventually bookstores, and libraries, soon!
Here’s a new version of the cover for the print book of Deathsun 2012 – novella.
The left hand side sun image was flipped, producing a neat mirror effect.
Now, to resubmit it to CreateSpace and see if it passes their standards. This image doesn’t look as good as the Photoshop image, due to the file being compressed. The print cover should look better, as well.

Here is the cover for the print edition of DEATHSUN 2012 – a novella. It was assembled in Photoshop, using a CreateSpace PDF template for guidance. Soon, it will go to CreateSpace, along with the interior of the book, for proofing. With any luck, there will be a print edition of my book available soon!
The colours and resolution are a bit degraded, as remember – this is a cover for print. As such, it was created in the CMYK colour space, and at a much higher resolution than this .jpg can portray with its RGB colours. This is just a glimpse.

So, I’ve had my first novel out for about a year now (Brainjob), and am now working on some other novels. That first one took me several years to finish, on and off. But now, I’ve gained a lot more writing experience and discipline, so, I will have more novels finished, soon. I don’t have a problem with lack of ideas, but finding time to write them all down! Also, I want to get my already published ebooks out as paper books, so I’ve got that to do. Then, there are audio books to record. Whew! It’s endless! Good thing I enjoy it all! (Plus, I’m going to have to go and see some of the new movies that are out! There’s a Tim Burton movie “Dark Shadows”, and a Ridley Scott movie out – “Prometheus”!)

Spring has sprung for us in the Northern Hemisphere this year. The winter was mild and short (I like that!), and now Spring is here early.
I’m at work on a new, untitled story – not sure how long it will be yet, but it’s going well and I’m having a good time with it. Also, I’m trying to place a recent short story I wrote titled “TAKEN AWAY” with a magazine publisher before I release it as an ebook on my own. So, that is coming in the near future. I’m adapting my screenplay DEATH SUN into a novel, and that is going well.
The exclusivity period with Amazon’s KDP Select (the Prime-based Kindle Lending Library) for my two ebooks BOI MEETS GRL and ONE JOURNEY has expired. Would I do it again? Sure, it was interesting to see the demand for the free ebooks I put on as a limited KDP promotion, and hopefully some new readers got to sample my work who otherwise wouldn’t have. Both ebooks are now available in multiple versions from Smashwords, and soon from all the major ebook retailers: Apple, Barnes & Noble, Diesel, Kobo, Scrollmotion, Sony, and Baker-Taylor.
